This information has already been posted on the Apple Creek Acres FB page, but for those that aren't aware, this Sunday morning volunteers from our neighborhood will meet to help beautify our newly repaved Mauney Cove Road (if you haven't gotten up and seen it, it's great and long overdue!). Posting at Sharon's behest...

The Mauney Cove Road "Adopt-A-Highway" trash pick up is scheduled for Sunday, October 3rd at 10 AM. Sunday was chosen because the Convenience Center is closed which means less traffic and ironically, that is where most of the trash is on the road. We will meet at 10am at the entrance to our development. I have vests, gloves and trash bags. I hope to have at least 6 to 8 volunteers to spread out along Mauney Cove Rd to knock this out in a couple of hours.

Last weekend I took out early Sunday morning to catch the Cataloochee Valley Elk herd and try out some new equipment. I'm posting a few that I have edited, and should get more soon. The fog layer played focusing havoc at times...I vow to conquer! Click on any pic to enlarge it, fyi.
