(I've been asked to pass this information along from Keith Patton, president of ACHOA - Bob)
Our last paving installment for 2013 is scheduled for this FRIDAY OCTOBER 11, on a section above the blue roof house. Apple Creek Road will be closed between 9A and 12P so that the machines can not only do their job but the hot asphalt can properly set. During the last paving event, cars driving off the new asphalt to go around equipment prematurely cracked and broke off un-set asphalt. We all value our dues money, and we are all being asked to please stay off Apple Creek Road and let the pavers do their work for 3 hours. That way, we'll have the best road surface set in place for the work done. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
(Terry Rose asked me to post this comment for her, an open comment to Keith and the board, though it is not about the paving above. A reminder: this blog is not a part of the board in any way, just my personal blog designed to get important information out for ACA residents. Residents with board-related questions can contact the board or any member directly. bob)
ReplyDeleteA motion that was made and passed at the annual meeting regarding contacting the people at Smokey Mountain Retreat about the road blockage at the top of our mountain. What I understand now is the new Board took a vote at their first Executive Board Meeting and made that vote null and void. How can that be? That must be against our bylaws or covenants. I thought that if a vote was taken and passed by members of ACAHA that the Board HAD to carry out that decision. Guess this Board thought otherwise. Or am I mistaken?
