First board meeting minutes from Aug. 21

1st meeting actions:
1. Contract to be issued to Custom Paving for $6,200 worth of paving to be done.
2. The association will issue two (2) mailings per year. One will be the dues assessment notice at the end of the calendar year; the second will be the notice for the upcoming annual homeowners' meeting next year. All other information, board meeting minutes, notices for road work, winter road updates, etc. will be done through this blog. applecreekacres.blogspot.com (NOTE: there is no 'www.' prefix).
3. A policy on obtaining competitive paving bids will be developed.
4. A policy on defining road maintenance will be developed.
5. The current board will have one (1) committee - Road Maintenance
6. A total of $2,200 in unpaid dues are owed to the association. Attempts will be made to collect those funds through liens and small claims court.
7. The board requests that all property owners mow/trim their own property and maintain their driveway culverts. The board is also asking for volunteers to help with general weed-eating, leaf-blowing, etc. Estimates obtained from various paving companies assessing the overall needs in Apple Creek are: $70,000 to $80,000 over the next 3 years, for paving only; Culverts that will need to be replaced will run approximately $5,000 each.
As a new board member who was out of town for the last annual meeting and the first new board meeting, I have a request...... Could we get a copy of the minutes from the annual meeting on the blog for those of us (I know I am not alone) who missed it and would like to know what happened. I would appreciate that, thank you.
ReplyDeleteAs I understand it, Marilyn Herbert (new secretary) has the electronic document I need to post in a readable format, and she is out of town for a few more days. I did just receive a hard copy from Linda Hughes, but the scan is too small to easily read when I post it as a picture, so will wait on that e-file. When I receive it, I will post it right away. Bob
