salt
I have spoken with Larry and we decided to have him put down some salt before the snow tonight. John
Around 11 am today 50 lb. salt bags were positioned along the road beyond Blue Roof, at "Yellow house" curve and "BiG Curve beyond. If you find yourself in a bad spot slipping badly spreading this salt in front of you can make a big difference. The large salt pellets greatly improve traction as well. If weather continues like this I will continue to keep this stock of salt going. Our good neighbors Anthony and Heather renting the Yellow House have been salting the curve for everyone and the dark stretch further down. Thanks guys!
Yesterday we walked and put salt out on all the ice spots down the mountain from in front of our house at the corner of Staymon all the way to Mauney. This morning there are still a lot of ice spots from the curve with the mirror down to the turn down that hill. We will try to salt that today if it does not melt today and if my muscles are not too sore!
