Lost Cat in ACA

The Damons on Apple Creek Road have recently lost their cat and are asking for any information anyone may have per sightings, noises, etc.  Their flyers are posted around, as well.    Bob

Bootsie is a medium-sized, shorthaired Gray Tabby w/ Black Stripes, Green Eyes, and White Boots last seen wearing a black collar with a green tag and has a shaved belly (spay surgery).    She's generally friendly but may run from strangers. Last seen: November 1, 11pm on Apple Creek Rd

Call day or night: (703) 568-9302 if you spot our Bootsie or if you have heard cats fighting recently, caterwauling, or meowing.

  1. We have had 4 cats disappear while living in ACA. I believe we have a Coyote population among us or possibly the ole barn owl. We also use to have many more cute little bunny rabbits....they have dwindled also!

  2. The coyotes were very close to me a couple of months ago, but have heard nary a yip in weeks. Too bad the barn owls, broad-wing hawks, etc. can't feast on all the boomers and chipmunks. A potentially rabid bobcat was reported on Staymon many weeks ago, so that is another possibility...holding out that this cute cat is alive and well and holing up. Let's hope so.

  4. It's what old timers in the mountains call the high elevation little Red Squirrels. Only this summer did the first gray squirrel get up to my place...the little boomers are EVERYwhere and willingly taunt my pups on the deck with incessant 'chase me' chatter. Cute, but can empty feeders quickly, even squirrel-proof ones!
