Thought you'd like to see this graphic, just put out by the Raleigh NWS office. Storm totals, though the NC mountains not finished with this event yet. Click on pic to enlarge. SW NC mountains not their coverage zone and usually don't have the best data, since coordination with other weather offices is often lacking.
They are only off by 50%. not bad for government work! :+)

Note that the time above the blog comment is different from the time "comment" was actually posted. It's almost 9am and no one has passed since 8:15 am. I did see a car pass much earlier at 2:30 am while I happened to be up. Will post the first car I see going by.

ReplyDelete7:35 am Jan 1, 18 degrees at 211 Apple Creek. Two trucks just passed going down road doing ok.
